How the papers work
- Foundation papers go up to grade 5. Higher papers go up to grade 9.
- 1MA1 is the exam code printed on the front of every Edexcel GCSE Maths paper. Paper codes like 1F and 3H mean Paper 1 Foundation and Paper 3 Higher.
- There are three papers, each 1 hour 30 minutes and 80 marks. Paper 1 is non-calculator; Papers 2 and 3 allow a calculator.
- Your grade comes from the total of all three: work out your grade.
- Papers from June 2025 onwards aren't on the site yet.
